Brazilian Morpho

The world's untouched lands and oceans are rapidly disappearing. Along with that we are losing unique species of animals and plants that are crucial for the ecosystem. The Artist created this poignant series as a reminder of fragility of nature. Mayya draws a parallel

between ephemerality of insects and vulnerability of endangered species, by depicting trapped, metamorphosed animals that were put on a display for human amusement.
